Again I love this show, but it isn't perfect.ĭragon Ball GT: It sucks. Additionally, when you take off your nostalgia goggles the plotlines are far from perfect and massively suffer from Toriyama making it up as he went in a way the first series didn't. Sure, Kai is a thing, but it has its own problems and doesn't excuse the original. But I'm sorry, this show has by far the worst pacing of any DB series. I dont need to tell you this shows positives, we all know them. But something needs to take this number 3 slot. What drags this one down is a lot of the plot issues the series had, and the abysmal pacing of the TOP.ĭragon Ball Z: Please don't kill me. It has by far the most world building out of any of the series, which I love. The series managed to be funny, epic, adventurous, and action packed all at the same time. But to me this series did a fantastic job of balancing the best elements of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. And, in my opinion, it has the best pacing.ĭragon Ball Super: This is certainly controversial. It was free of many of the plot holes and narrative messes that would plague the later series. Heres mine, which is bound to be controversial:ĭragon Ball: In my mind, this is the show that had the best story, made the best use of its cast, and didn't have to rely on overly flashy fights to keep you engaged.
